our roots

In 1986, a historic home, the L.W. Larson house, was donated by the Allen Potvin family to the East Polk Heritage Center. The home was relocated to the site at Melland Park. The house has been restored and is now a repository for a large collection of historical furnishings, books, photographs and documents.  In 1995, a one-room log cabin was constructed which contains the remaining artifacts.  In the summer of 2010, the Moen country school was moved to the Heritage Center and was restored.
